Habitat aims to build about 45-60 new affordable homes in San Antonio for families every year. With the help from our community, we can continue to reach (and even surpass) this goal of providing homes to San Antonio families. Above all, community involvement is our main driver. Most of our goals cannot be surpassed without friends like you to help!

FUN-raise
There are many great ways to fundraise for your favorite cause. Here are a couple of fun ideas to get you started:
- Gift campaign – ask your friends for donations instead of birthday/anniversary/holiday gifts
- Bake sales and lemonade stands
- Golf tournaments
- Social media campaigns
- Athletic challenges like running a 5K, swimming a long distance, sport competitions

Spring Clean
The Habitat Home Centers are home improvement thrift stores available in San Antonio. They sell both new and gently used items at discounted prices to the public. Donating your items to our stores provides affordable items to the San Antonio community and help fund Habitat’s administrative costs.
Examples of some of the items accepted are:
- Appliances: stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, washing machines
- Furniture: Tables, sofas, bookcases, chairs
- Kitchen & Bath Fixtures: Counter tops, sinks, bathtubs, shower stalls, toilets
- House Fixtures: Doors, windows, light fixtures, ceiling fans

Give Your Time
Volunteers are the heart of our organization. While our construction site age requirements are 14 and over, we offer many volunteer opportunities to accommodate all ages, abilities, and schedules. Signing up in the following ways can help build an affordable home for a family in need:
- Aid in Construction of Homes
- Provide Lunch for Volunteers
- Help with On-site Volunteer Services
- Assist in Habitat Home Centers
- Provide Clerical Assistance in the Habitat Office
- Help Salvage Materials to be Sold in the Habitat Home Centers

Donate
Donating money to Habitat helps build homes. Habitat does not have a set amount needed for donations, so feel free to donate what you can. We make a commitment to use donations wisely, and use them to do what we say we’re going to do. In fact, 100% of your monetary donations go directly into the home building program – making sure every dollar counts!

Last but certainly not least, inviting your friends and families to help out has been fundamental to Habitat’s mission.
