Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio & Guadalupe Valley Announces Pope Leo Village

We’re excited to launch the Pope Leo Village Campaign, beginning in early 2026! Inspired by Pope Leo’s vision of faith and serving others, this new multi-city housing campaign is made possible by an anonymous donor who hopes to inspire the San Antonio community—especially youth—to serve, volunteer, and give back.

Located on the city’s East Side, Pope Leo Village will include six affordable homes on Melody Lane, built on land once part of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Mary Immaculate Convent. Construction begins spring 2026, and homes will be available to hardworking, low-income families through Habitat’s homeownership program with 0% interest mortgages.

We invite Catholic schools, faith communities, and all supporters to join us in building hope and opportunity.

Donate, volunteer, or fundraise today to be part of Pope Leo Village!

“In that service to others we may find that coming together in friendship, building up community, we too can find true meaning in our lives.” — Pope Leo XIV
