Pope Leo Village
We’re excited to announce that our Pope Leo Village Campaign, which began earlier this year, is off to a great start! Inspired by Pope Leo’s vision of faith and serving others, this new multi-city housing campaign is made possible by an anonymous donor who hopes to inspire the San Antonio community—especially youth—to serve, volunteer and give back.
Located on the city’s east side, Pope Leo Village will include eight affordable homes on Melody Lane, built on land once part of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Mary Immaculate Convent. Construction is going well with the support of volunteers, faith organizations and our hardworking families. Homes will be available to hardworking, low-income families through Habitat’s homeownership program with 0% interest mortgages.
We invite Catholic schools, faith communities, and all supporters to join us in building hope and opportunity.
There is still time to donate, volunteer, or fundraise today to be part of Pope Leo Village!
